I typically speak pretty highly of Lacoste footwear, more so than most clothing manufacturers who frequently dabble in shoes. The Summer Stealth Collection, for example, is pretty damn tight. Well Lacoste has collaborated with architect Zaha Hadid and I’m not sure I’d describe the outcome in such glowing terms. Um … it’s a boot. And it’s a spiral. It sort of resembles the ridiculous public art you might see a city spend a couple hundred g’s on. I guess that’s how trendy architects make their money though, doing something different. Anyway, the production run on these boots will be limited to fewer than 1000 so surely they’ll be a hit. The Zaha Hadid Lacoste Boots will release next month at Colette, 10 Corse Como and Dover Street Market. Pictures from WWD.com
