While Nike does love their hybrids, it is a little less common that we see them fuse a running shoe with a basketball shoe, both retros. (less common. Not impossible.) Well it’s happening this November, as the Nike Air Structure Triax 91 collides with an Air Jordan VI to create the Air Hoop Structure. The shoe sports a lot of the details of the Structure Triax 91, while using the general silhouette of the AJ6 along with the trademark Air Jordan 6 ankle bump, the gum-patches on the sole and some of the midsole squiggles.
The Nike Air Hoop Structure will drop in at least three colors this winter, the first being the pictured grey/metallic silver-white in November of 2009. I sort of feel like this would have done really well back in like 1992, but I suppose it will still find its market. Pictures via Foot Locker Unlocked.
