I am no skater, and I’ve never been a fan of Vans, laceless or otherwise, but I am definitely on board with these Vans-like Nike Drifter 6.0. It’s basically a really simple skate shoe with a plain midsole (think Vans or All-Stars), a suede upper, and some very light stitching in the standard Nike-panel shape. And the black one has some floral print on one of the panels. I don’t know what it is, but these things are fire. I’m not especially feeling the colors planned—black/glass blue/red, pine/white and orion blue/purple—but the shoe is tight enough that I’ll have to grab a pair. And with an expected release of fall 2009, we may see a couple more color entries in the future. I’ll update with any news, I presume everyone is as on the edge of their seats as I am.
