The newest Nike 1World Air Force 1 is dropping on January 16th in Hong Kong and Shanghai. The Clot x Nike 1World Air Force 1 is another in the line of AF1s that takes innovative designers and creative individuals from outside the sneaker industry and allows them to design their very own Air Force 1. Clot, Inc (clotinc.com)—founded by Edison Chen, Billy Ip and Kevin Poon—sells various specially designed apparel and accessories. They also own the two stores that will be releasing the Clot x Nike 1World Air Force 1: Juice in HK and ACU in Shanghai.
The shoe is really tight for the most part, using the famous Clot royal deluxe patterned silk for the upper with a brown leather layer UNDER the silk, meaning one can remove the silk to display the under-layer. The Chinese graphics that appear on the silk are laser-etched into the leather so you’ll still get the cool design even if you decide to remove the silk (although I can’t imagine why you would do that).
All in all, the shoe is extremely rad, with the of-course-exception of the clear air bubble which never looks good on an Air Force 1. The prices are below, but seeing as how there is no US release date slated, I’m not going to do the conversion rate. I’m pretty sure that the Hong Kong dollar trades less than the Renminibi, so if you happen to have a cousin in both places, get the shoe in Hong Kong. If there is a US date announced I’ll let you know.
Clot x Nike 1World Air Force 1 Release Date: 1/16/2009, price: HK$2,800 (Hong Kong) or RMB2,800 (China)
