As had been previously speculated on a certain informative, exciting and handsome website (ahem … nikeblog.com), the fashionistas of football the Oregon Ducks unveiled their new Nike black and feather uniforms Saturday, in a defensively-challenged affair at Autzen Stadium. As part of Oregon’s “blackout” Saturday, the Ducks wore black helmets, the black winged jerseys, and black pants. I could take or leave the wings, but the jerseys’ font and number-coloring are pretty rad against the black. The gunmetal black helmet is pretty cool as well. The Photo is by Mike Perrault of the Oregon Daily Emerald.
After a week of kicking this around I finally realized what bothers me so much about the wings: they’re really, really emo. Every time I look at them I hear Dashboard Confessional playing in my head. Is crying oneself to sleep while thinking about unrequited love the hot, new style that’s going to bring the recruits a running?
Oh, and one last thing. The pervading rumor for the last couple of weeks is a complete uniform revamp for Oregon in 2010. Keep your eyes glued to this space for updates as they come.

I was there. The wings are nice, but the number on the jerseys suck.
All parties involved with the Oregon uniforms should be taken to the 50 yard line at halftime and beaten inot a coma with a nine iron.

I think the idea of the all black jerseys is sick but the wings on the shoulders look so stupid that I cant even look at em.
When my friend was tellin me about them and how sick they looked and I couldnt wait to check em out but now im disappointed that my friend would like those.
How about some Camo Uniforms? That’d be sweet.
these jerseys are tight and the carbon fiber look on the wings and numbers is raw! GO DUCKS to the holiday bowl!!!!!
totally cool, keep pissing people off, nike is the best.
I think the wings & the numbers are very nice, and the fact that Oregon is always coming through with new uniform combos – There are going to be a lot of haters! Unis are very hip! GO DUCKS! KICK SOME COWBOY A#S!!
I think the uniforms are SICK! I wanna see them on google, but they dont have any! I especialy love the carbon fiber wings!

& SECOND OF ALL IM STARTIN TO THINK THIS SITE ONLY APPROVES THE POSITIVE COMMENTS CUS I SAW ONE COMMENT SAYING HOW BAD THEY BLOW D!*K
@WhoaWhoa: If you saw the comment wouldn’t that imply that it must have been approved?
I happen to love the uniforms Oregon comes us with. Forget about the wimpy little nerdherders who love to knock them every time they come out with something new. To me, I love it, and it only makes sense that Oregon should set every new style aloft, having graduate Nike’s CEO. You rock Phil, and so do the ducks. I’d be happy to see something new every year!!!! Luv it Luv it!!

They never fail to supply thee most horrendous uniforms in all athletics.Hopefully they’ll accomplish something that will help them sell their program on prestige, rather then using gimmick after gimmick.1917 is their last Rose Bowl victory…so beat goes on.
