Well, not actually wings coming off the uniform. But rumor has it that Oregon will be wearing a black jersey with screen-printed (or painted, or whatever) feathers on the shoulder pads. Yep, the Oregon Ducks feathered jersey. The Ducks would presumably be wearing these with the much-anticipated black helmets, although neither of these has been confirmed. The picture, from eDuck.com, is of a replica jersey for sale to the public, so the on-field version would presumably be a lot slicker than this. Not sure how this will work out, but I really like when we do ridiculous stuff to grab attention (and our play certainly isn’t going to do that), so I’m really hoping that they give these a try.
