Last month, Portland-area artist and Weiden+Kennedy (the brains behind most Nike ads) employee Jimm Lasser unveiled the centerpiece to his Dunk On McCain exhibition, the “Obama Force 1.” Half art-half shoe, the customized Air Force 1s feature a frontal picture of Barack Obama on the right sole, and a profile shot of him on the left sole along with the words “A Black Man Runs and a Nation is Behind Him.” The shoes also create a special print if inked and put to paper, several of which were sold at the exhibition.
